I applied extenally to birmingham even though im internal now and not really had an update on my progress. No dbs or contact with any of the employers. I work in the same buikding but on a different floor to tax specialists.
With regards to the health assessment forms that we completed, has anyone's doctor actually been contacted that you know about? Do they even contact the doctors? Just thinking knowing what mine are like it could take a while to get any type of response therefore delaying any potential start dates etc...
Hey guys, I am from the 1320 campaign. Sitting with my provisional offer as well and I am for Belfast but haven't heard anything yet about medical or otherwise. Anyone in the same boat?

I'm 1320 Manchester as well :-)

One of my referees has been contacted but not the other and my dbs certificate has arrived in the post

Does the DBS certificate come to yourself or does it go to Manpower/HMRC? Mine was posted last Friday just wondering what to expect.
Cheers!

I spoke to someone last week.

I am a current HMRC employee and applied for 1320 as an external candidate.

They told me that as long as I filled in the drop down for existing civil servant and then on the further drop down, that I worked for HMRC and had my staff number on there, manpower should filter my application.

They need to physically check the photocopies of our qualifications but will not be doing the health or DBS checks (and that's probably why we haven't been contacted)

Would have been nice to have been told that earlier but I suppose we're in the minority of candidates so they didn't deem it necessary to have a FAQ on it or send it out in the email.

That's not true because I'm internal and has been contacted. I applied on 1320 too. I've been asked for 2 refs and to compete a DBS. I did query this and they said they've been told they have to check everyone...
Both yourself and HMRC get a copy. Ive got mine and I know both my references have submitted their response but not heard anything else yet

Can you double check your application form to see whether you're listed as being a HMRC employee or from another government department?

I was told this by the person heading the campaign up in HR so I'd hope that they were right...

Very little point calling them I think given their IVR states they cannot give out info re: applications etc. Just a case of sitting tight unfortunately :-( Frustrating for those of us that need to consider travel requirements and possible house moves though. Being in limbo is not nice...

Oh wow! Thats still better. I was wondering what the need is if im already working here...i have given my details already and qualifications...with all the supporting documents prior to the interview.

Do we have to wait for 12 weeks to hear anything? Im wondering when we will hear anything...

I wasn't trying to question you, just that you said that you've moved from another OGD. When you fill out a new application it uses your previous details, could have been left over from when you worked somewhere else that's all.

I'd hope that the HR person in charge would know what they're on about so maybe it's a mistake them contacting you :s-smilie:
