Why do people struggle to spell words? I'm only 16, and I can spell any word without looking it up.

Has anyone else ever asked their parents how you spell a word and their reply is always "Look it up in the dictionary?"

How the **** you meant to look it up if you don't know how it's spelt?

Is it just my parents?
