I need help.
It's close to the UCAS deadline and I want to do an engineering course, but i'm not sure if I want to do chartered accountany and I need help on what a-levels to do. If I do F Maths, Chemistry and Physics can that help me get a course in either job? If not, can you advise me on what to do. I'm in year 11 at the moment, but I don't want to be in a position where I'm unclear on my path ahead. Or if you have suggestions on what I should choose then that would be great too. Thanks.
These are some of my predicted GCSE grades -
Maths - A/A+
Science - Physics - A
Chemistry - A
Biology - A
History - A
English Lan - B
English Lit - B
Triple Science - A/A/A

Why are you worried about UCAS deadlines if you're still doing GCSEs?
So you want to do an engineering degree and then accountancy afterwards? Wouldn't it be more suitable to just do an accountancy degree? To be honest I'd do Physics, Maths and a third subject which leaves your options more open for either degree.
Hi My Students who are doing CA range have first degrees ranging from Maths to Economics to Law; you can do a degree in accounting but to become CA, you need to work with an accounting firm while studying for exams, hich most people do after a different first degree.
The advice from emilou is sensible in keeping your options open, and because you got As in GCSE sciences, you should be fine with A level Physics. Another point to consider is what subjects interest you, because when you have a passion for anything in life, you naturally excel in that aspect of study/work.
English A level is tough, especially after the, in my view, poor syllabuses of GCSE English in UK these days, which place little emphasis on core grammar, punctuation, vocabulary (syntax). On the other hand, your grade of B in English is q good, so if you like the subject, you will do well.
Think globally, interest, ability, ease of scoring high marks, your style of learning, etc before making a decision.

I just wanna know one more thing. If I do Maths, Economics and Chemistry would that give me the option to either do CA or Chemical engineering?
Because right now im sure if I wanna do a chemical engineering degree or a CA degree, cuz i'm not so clear on my pathway yet

You would probably be doing the best subjects possible for CA (Chartered Accountancy) later on, since you would be well placed to do a degree in either Economics OR Maths, either of which would be a likely gateway to acceptance by a firm for working/studying for CA exams. It is worth knowing two things to be fair:-
Most firms that take on CA for what used to be called "articles", in other words, training to be a CA under a qualified and expeienced CA, require a minimum 2.1 degree, so you need to put in some effort during your (at least 2nd and 3rd) uni years. Secondly, the CA exams themselves are q tough with a low pass rate, and there are about 13 of them (albeit over 2-3 years on average).
The above is not to put you off CA, just to prepare you.
As regards Chemical Engineering, I do not have first hand knowledge, but I would strongly believe that having both Maths and Chemistry, if you get good grades, should place you in an enviable position, since the course will no doubt have a considerable amount of both these subjects. (I am not sure how much emphasis is placed on Physics A level). However, this is only an opinion, so please check individual uni websites for actual requirements.
