Same here. Filled in the health declaration Monday last week and still haven't heard from them. I'm band O in London too.

Yep unfortunately they take their time. Been waiting since July for my checks to be completed.

I have just called DBS and they don't have an application under my name. HMRC is really taking their time with that... this is pathetic now

I wouldn't worry about this as when they do request a DBS it'll be done quickly. It's just them actually requesting it that takes long.
Just on the phone to dbs. Its taking 18 weeks for those applying for the police! Least were not in that position! But nope, they haven't put a request in for one for me either.
What email address are you using to contact HMRC? This one? e&[email protected]
Gonna pester them with another email.

For people looking for time reference, I received my email asking to proceed to a DBS check on the 24th of September and there is still no application for a DBS from HMRC in my name. Absolute shambles

Don't think it'll be anytime soon I've just phoned up nothing sent over for myself. This is from 2 months ago since the checks stage was supposedly beginning. It's a bit worrying when you ring up the automated message says checks can take up to 18 weeks.

Wait do you mean you sent off your health and dbs stuff three months ago and still nothing?

Sent mine 24th August and nothing yet. Can't get a reply to an email either. It's been 2 weeks since I emailed them. Phoned HR and DBS and no contact from hmrc yet.

Just realised mine was 2 months ago from August. No health forms for me just accepting the offer and filling out the reference sections then the status changes to conducting checks, we will contact you when these are complete. Nothing else we can do from there just only to wait.

How long ago did you send off for the dbs?

Presented my documents to HMRC on 28th September

Oh I see, I got the same offer in August, but have presented my documents and sent off Health and DBS confirmation stuff. Seems like each office is working at really different paces, thought it'd be a more standard centralised kind of thing.

Still different within. I know of people who received job offeres the same day as me for different roles but DBS was complete weeks ago and the have already started in the same location as mine.

That sucks, at least you know the jobs are real. Half expecting HMRC to turn around and tell me my job no longer exists.

I had this on 21st September, rang DBS today and HMRC haven't applied for it. Its taking atleast 20 working days for a DBS to even come through so going off that time frame we won't get a start date until mid November IF DBS are sent off asap. Its absolutely ridiculous!

At this stage I think mid November is even a little optimistic

I go away mid december so in one respect i'm hoping its not until the New year, but at the same time, i'm skint and need money haha.
Anyone who's been offered HO/O position, are you thinking of trying again for TSP when it opens tomorrow? Not sure whether to give it another go...

Apparently the salary for HO/O is 23k and 29k respectively. What's the salary range of TSP btw? I'm just curious - if it what going through the process again - it took almost a year to get to this stage not even start the job yet.
