I mean we feed them, clean them, take them tot he vet, play with them and give them affection...

To say I own my cat(s) makes me feel like they're slaves.
I can understand owning a car or a house but another living being?!

I know that. What I should have said is, I am not one to use abbreviations for words, like brb. I used to do it when I was 14 but then I stop.

I like to think they're just another member of the family. Not property. What pisses me off is people who go to a breeder to buy a puppy as a birthday present for their spoilt brat toddler daughter.

Yes, family.. <3 The idea of adopting a cat or a dog as a present is also disgusting to me... Cats/dogs are not are NOT presents. I doubt anyone would say that an adopted human child is a present. What makes it okay to say that adopting a nonhuman animal and giving it a better life is a present?!
