Are ugly people more intimidating?

I would say yes, if compared to attractive people

not really. i think more generally its attractive people who are intimidating. but its also the personality people give off regardless of looks.
People below a certain level of attractiveness aren't considered human, so yes.
I don't think level of attractiveness is what makes someone intimidating. In terms of men, I think it is more to do with height, stature, how confident (or arrogant) they are as a person, as well as facial hair which can make someone intimidating, if it is the lumberjack kind of beard, not the neatly trimmed kind of beard.

attractiveness has nothing to do with it, its the type of face you have

i've seen attractive people with a scary scowl on their face and equally unattractive people with a similar look
