Yeah sure you know her mate!!!

What does she do then?

Not really something you would make up is it? Its no brag for me.. 'Oh yeah, I know this person who makes my wage and hard-work look like peanuts...'

She is the VP of a financial company down in Beijing, couldn't tell you exactly what they do as I cant read all the Chinese on her documents - but my guess, given the money involved, is that it has to be investment banking related.

Makes me think I picked the wrong area to work in..

Ha, you'd be surprised pal. Never believe the internet.

Even as a VP at an Investment bank that is still a ridiculous salary...

China is a crazy place - far to many people over hear earning ridiculous amounts. The new-rich of this country are just leading insane lives, hopping around the world splashing their money everywhere.. yet next door to their homes there are people living in complete squats, working for nothing and scraping by with barely enough.

My wife has an hold high-school friend, hasn't seen her in ages, but her dad came into some money a while back. Her life is just a big holiday now.. every week on her social media are just pictures of her in different countries relaxing having fun. no work, no hassle, that's just her life - indefinite travel and shopping.

When I come over here, as a very middle-class British person, I feel really quite posh compared to most normal people.. but then I get a glimpse of the actual chinese rich, and I end up looking like a begger.

Problem is my wife has a distorted sense of wealth now thanks to her rich friends.. and it puts a ton of pressure on me, as in china is the mans responsibility to provide.. She seeing her friends lead such rich lives, and despite me re-stating our hardwork/what weve done, it always feels like for her, its just not enough. Need to get our lives back in england where the comparison is less obvious

Wouldn't say amazing, could easily be mistaken for a recruitment consultant though

Frances looks like she studied BA Geography at LSE :love:

@zKlown pls confirm generalisations

I would say she's more like a Business Development Manager (AKA saleswoman)

She can talk and get on with people, she don't look bad in a pair of heels either which can often please her male colleagues. However when it comes down to the technicalities and actual knowledge of the job, she's pretty useless.
Samuel has composure and potential but lost it this week :frown:

She's ok, wouldn't say no

Bit too excitable for my liking, couldn't take more than 10 minutes alone with her.
