Having spoken to my female friends they often say it's because East Asian men seem more feminine with east asian women stating they have slightly more male centric outlooks to relationships/family life.
It doesn't help that it's is technically true
my ex (from east asia) said she was surprised with how noticeable the difference in terms of size actually was. She thought it was an urban myth.
