CIE exam board

Do universities look down on the CIE exam board? Because most schools in the UK do AQA, EdExcel, OCR etc. I'm thinking of doing the CIE syllabus for A level because there's no coursework but I'm not sure

No they don't. UK universities make no distinction between the A level examiner used.

It's fine. The difference is that it is an international exam board, not a UK one. (It is the international arm of Cambridge Assessment with OCR being its UK equivalent.)
