Mechanics M1- paralle vectors

given that c=3i+4j and d=i-2j , find

t if d-tc is parallel to -2i+3j

1) I did the sum and got
(1-3t)i + (-2-4t)

2)then
3(1-3t)=-2(-2-4t)
The answer I got is correct but i do not get the concept here(in the second part)
Can anyone help me please.

Essentially take the gradients of two lines and make them equal to each other.

32=24t13t\frac{3}{-2}=\frac{-2-4t}{1-3t}

Which exam board are you taking?

I'm sure this is M2 or just vector knowledge
