Last year the threshold was 104 and this year people seem to have found it a bit harder, so I would say it's possible that a score of 99 might qualify.

I accidentally did 2017 digits rip, think I got 115 in the end, didnt read scalene on Q4 wbu

Unlike you I did read all the questions properly, although I still couldn't figure out Questions 19 and 21. If anyone could explain them, I would be most grateful.

Sure, 19, i am sure you know the triangle inequality, it was just this but for 4 shapes, so 1,2,3,6,11 was the 'best' case scenario, 11 -->D
21) Ill send a copy of my diagram in a minute

I got B for 8, not D, and I didn't answer 21. How did you go about doing it?

8B is correct. You can just draw the diagram and count that there are 84 squares.
21 I couldn't do.
I got c for 21, but I couldn't explain why, i don't remember how I managed it

Are these all correct if so is 109 enough for BMO qualifier?

Ah, I did 4x n-1th triangle number, ie 2n(n-1), so 2x7x6, so 84 —> B

Why is 9 c not b

Why is 9 c not b

I think
y=x
y=-x^2+1
X^2 + y^2 = 1
all pass through two vertices of the square

or notice triangle numbers *4
1B 2D 3D 4B 5A 6C 7A 8B 9C 10B 11C 12C 13 14D 15 16D 17D 18E 19D 20A 21 22C 23D 24 25D
Feel I flunked it. How do your answers compare?
For 9 i don't see how y= -X^2 +1 passes through two. I thought it would only pass through (0,1) :frown:.
less chance for a gold cuz I'm wrong :frown:
