I had a baby in my second year of university - AMA

Hi!

Noticed an increasing number of young mums-to-be on TSR, and people who have faced tough situations during their degree and are nervous they cannot complete it, so AMA :-)

PS - I'm not going to answer any nasty questions, so don't waste your time :-)

Thank you :-)

I just fell pregnant really  I don't know, it was all a blur so I don't really remember what quite happened! (we were both sober though )

Thank you :-)

I was, yes, but not anymore. Somethings just don't work out, but he is a truly wonderful man who sees his son and pays his way, so I haven't got too much to grumble about :-)
Have u ever used it as a rugby ball

Oh i didn't mean what literally happened during conception, I meant how did you and your (i assume) partner meet and get to the point of having a kid
And what was it like when you found out you were pregnant? Were you worried?

Major props to you, I struggle at uni as it is - you're conquering university and you've carried and are now taking care of another human, I have so much respect for you.

My question is, what degree are you studying?

Oh right! Lol! I didn't really get the question

We met through work, and some time after I found out I was pregnant :-)

I actually found out the morning of one of my first year university exams. I went to meet my friend for revision, so went to Sainsburys for a pizza for our lunch and a pregnancy test. I thought I'd have to wait for a few minutes but it came up almost immediately. I later found out I was about 8 weeks at that point.

I was more nervous than I was worried, but nothing could surpress how happy I felt :-)

Thank you so much - good luck to you with whatever you're doing at uni 😀

I'm studying for a degree in Linguistics - in my final year now :-)

How many languages do you speak and what are they?
How will you earn the money to raise your child?
How do you plan to teach him/her not to become fat?
What do you think he/she will become as a grown up?
