Do Parents usually fly/come to your university hall and help you settle?!

Do parents buy plane tickets and help you settle in at your University Hall or is it okay to just go alone? Is it normal for parents to join you

yes it is normal for parents to come with you, but it is also fine to just go by yourself

When I get my own place I'm just gonna ask them to help me transport stuff

Ah, I see thank you. I was kinda confused as to what the norm was! All a bit daunting :P
It isn't really about the norm. It very much depends on the relationship you have with your parents, whether you feel comfortable with them coming with you to see you settled in.

Most UK based parents will accompany their kids to halls for the first time, although not all. For international students I think a lot less will do so as the student will want to do their own thing after moving in so it's a bit cost to fly over for a couple of days.
