When do we hear if we were shortlisted for interview?

Hi, very nervous here,
When will we hear if we got an interview?
This is for a history joint school.
if you look on the website it will tell you when the interviews are (it's different for each subject) and usually you find out a week or so before the interview. Good luck!
The first subjects we send out invitations for are those where candidates are interviewed in the first week AND where there is no admissions tests.

Early birds are usually Biology, Fine Art, and Biochemistry. These should go out over the next 5 to 10 days.

Do you know anything about how Chemistry will use the TSA as part of the application this year? There isn't much avaliable online, and many say it's only a 'trial' and won't be looked at; others say that it might be used to shortlist candidates. Any information at all would be very useful.

Thank you

We think the selectors will make use of all available information but will take into account the fact that this is the first time that test scores are available for Chemistry. This leads us to think that the test results will be used cautiously as it is not yet known to what extent test results for this subject predict interview performance, likelihood of achieving conditional offers, or performance on course. In future years, Chemistry will be able to look at the data and assess how useful the test results are and, therefore, determine how much weight to place on them.

Hi, thanks for the excellent responses. I understand that the latest an interview offer is given is 1 week before the interview. Could I ask when the average offer is given for Engineering Science rather than the latest?

This is a link to last year's interview thread. Each college does its own interview invitations but they have to work at the university level to ensure none of the right candidates get left out. They also don't have much time between the aptitude tests and the first interviews. Therefore the subjects tend to come in batches.

Everything will be two days earlier this year.

May I ask why you say that it would be two days earlier this year?

It's done on the same days of the week every year so the dates change

Aptitude test Wednesday 4/11/2015 vs Wednesday 2/11/2016. etc.

The Oxford term (eighth week) finishes on the Friday before the interviews start. They work all the timings back from this.

Could you please tell when do you usually send invitations for international students who are applying for PPE (and would attend the interview in Oxford if shortlisted) ?
Law is finalising interview decisions and we are expecting to send out communications either later this week or early next week.

We will post information about other courses when it is available (so no need to PM or post with queries).
