Neutralisation reaction question

Screenshot_20161206-104222.png for this question is it wrong to say that the wasp sting contains a base as the answer only mentions that the sting contains an alkalis.

Thanks

Alkalis are soluble bases, therefore all alkalis are bases, but not all bases are alkalis.

The wasp sting must involve a soluble base, so it is definitely better to state it is an alkali.

Well it doesn't inject a solid lump into you xD

It's dissolved in the solution injected into you.

If it were a solid, how would it get squirted out? Also how would it have its instant effect?

Soluble as in it is aqueous since there is a liquid state as well. My chemistry is not so good.
