History Coursework Help!!!

I am doing my coursework on the Crusading Movement, where the question is 'In the context of the years 1095 to 1204, was religious devotion the main motivation for those from Western Europe setting out for Jerusalem and Outremer?' I have to write up my draft that has to be between 3000-3500 words. If anyone knows this particular topic area, can you please assist me in terms of what I need to include. By the way, I have 6 different books which are by: Jonathan Phillips, Thomas F.Madden, Norman Housley, S.J. Allen and Emilie Amt, Jonathan Riley-Smith and Carole Hillenbrand. If you know what these historians argue in terms of the question above, that will be really, really helpful for me to type up my draft as I'm sitting on the fence a bit. Thanks :biggrin:
