What are the education lecturers like? I only met one on the open day (not sure what her name was-she had purple/silver hair) and she seemed nice but I didn't see any others.

Also, do you know what the ratio of work is like in joint honours?

The education lecturers are very knowledgable and work very hard to ensure that if any problems arise they can make time to see you and offer advice. They're very responsive to feedback and emails. It's a great uni for education studies!

As for joint honours ratios I can't help as my course can not be combined with another due to the Qualified Teacher Status it offers. I'm pretty sure it starts 50/50 but then you can shape modules based on preferences so it b comes a 60/40 of your choice.

Student life- the mood in uni is brilliant. I live at home and commute but friends who live near and have been in halls. The nightlife is poor mon, tues and thurs but go out on a Friday or Saturday and it can be great! For clubs it's poor (I don't like them anyway so that doesn't help) But LOTS of great bars and restaurants for food. Shopping is really good as there is an intu centre and there is also a couple of good museums to be fair! The library is not 24/7 but is open from around 8-11 I think- there is more than another space and is separated into zones  hope this quick overview helps!

There is uni buses between each campus- as I drive I've never used them but I'm sure they offer 10 trips for a pound and the buses are every 10/20 mins  the train station is only a 10min bus ride away and has links everywhere (Londons only an hour and a half away).

You'll love it

Thanks so much!! I loved it at the open day. I meant do student from different departments know each other or does everyone stay within their department? And if you dont mind answering another question, whats freshers week like? Is it easy to get to know people? I plan on living in halls (i reallyyy hope to get fo peak court) and know they have activities but outside them? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks x

Oh sorry I obviously wasn't following! Everyone tends to stay within their department to be honest- which is good with people being so like minded.
It's really easy to get to know people- everyone's approachable- I've had many long convos with random people in the library when they've overhead a convo about a certain course or something!

I can't comment on Fresehers I'm afraid- I work weekends and am on a demanding course so my nightlife comes as a reward over the summer! My friends who have been freshers have enjoyed it and I think they all said the wristband is worth it for the first year just for socialising reasons.

I've only been to see friends once St Peters Hall in the first year but they weren't generally clean and even though some members of the flat didn't get along they all respected on another!

Feel free to ask more questions- sorry I can't be much of a help about living in halls!

Good luck with getting in the halls you want- also don't buy books before starting your course isn't a good tip id give.
