New job, Moving to Birmingham, good (and SAFE) areas to move to?

I have a new job in Birmingham, but don't know the city at all. I will work in the city centre. So would like to move to a location near a train station to allow me to get into the city centre. (I would prefer to be a very close walking distance to train station)

City centre seems expensive and I'm reluctant to rent there. What are some good and safe areas?

Both good places to live, I only listed those I know quite well and I've never had issues. Just be smart, don't offend the wrong people and that's life everywhere really

Btw all the places I listed have stations really close.
Birmingham is as safe as any other city. The city centre is safe during the day but not in the evening onwards lots of crime going on. A few weeks ago someone got stabbed there and there was an incident a week ago near the German markets. Erdington is a high crime rate area, avoid it.
