How much eye contact is the right amount?

I fear I stare at people and this is why I don't have many friends in my class.

I can only offer my perspective as someone who is autistic, but I do find staring intimidating... but bear in mind that that is my own problem to deal with. Sometimes people do stare unnecessarily and sometimes they dont, its up to me to see the difference.

I would definitely suggest that you try your best to not stare and try to relax about it to see if that gives a change!

As some of my friends have said in the past, staring can be off putting (especially if you stare at people who arent looking at you, most of the time they are aware that you are staring)

It's not really an exact science, but yeah, staring isn't particularly good in any context.
