Chemistry !!

Chemistry has helped us get a better understanding of why things happen around us. There's a fair bit of biology knowledge which is based on our chemistry knowledge. Without chemistry, we wouldn't have vaccines, we wouldn't have most modern medicine, we wouldn't have such useful things as polymers.

Every Science has it's purpose, It's hard to call one more important than the other.

. Chemistry is the Science that enables us to manipulate the very fabric of nature.

. Physics is the Science that advances mankind's knowledge about nature.

. Biology is the Science that enables us to understand the mechanics of life.

Maths is the unseen language that binds them all. They are all essentially spin-offs of it.

Chemistry  was going to say biology, but bio relies quite heavily on chemi...

In terms of the whole biochemistry stuff, I agree with you. But there are also aspects of biology which have no reference to chemistry.

Without philosophy there is no science. It's at the heart of all knowledge.

Principia is a philosophy text. The clue is in the title.

Are you talking about Newton's axioms about mechanics?

Anyway, would not considered philosopy as a science, as philosopy means to get wisdom by thinking about things carefully. Modern science incontradiction to it means not thinking about things only, but also to confirm (or not to confirm) certain views by being analytical and applying methods (experiments, tests).
:colone: Biology.
maths is commonly considered a science- all of the three heavily depend on this ! would say maths

They're all important and to say one is more superior than another is foolish

How does a scientist get to "a certain view" in the first place? By thinking...

They are all pretty important.Biology will tell you about how an organism works but to understand how life developed originally you need chemistry.Chemistry will tell you about how things react together but if you want a deeper understanding of it then you need physics. All of our modern understanding of atoms is based upon the model used by quantum mechanics which comes from physics.I find each science to be pretty interesting in their own right, there is no need to pick and choose. You can like both biology and physics.

im gonna have to say chemistry... i hope i dont get a bad reaction

But Philosophy isn't a science...

Well, many people would agree with you there, but to ask what science is the most important is to ask a wrong question, if importance is to be understood as influential here.

Not exactly a helpful discussion, and predictably most people here are saying Physics because it's the most 'interesting'. However that wasn't the term of the question and interesting has no real bearing on worth or importance.

Whilst it is true that physics has had great importance in engineering etc in the past and today, it's pretty clear that most modern medicines and cures are being designed by specialists in chemistry and biology. Its probable, in fact, that day to day biomedical research has the greatest short term impact on most of us than something like theoretical physics.

If the properties of different materials, the whole Chemistry, has become for the first time the objects that could be predicted from the theory, and not from hypotheses deduced from experiments, could not have been possible without a deep command of Quantum Mechanics.
