Advance Learner Loan

Hello

I am interested in applying for advance learner loan, but I have a few questions that I was unable to find the necessary information online or from the college in question.

according to the government website for me to be awarded a loan I will need to meet the following criteria

1. Course

The course I want to complete is called Advanced Diploma in Classical Atelier Drawing and Painting. The course is credited by Napier University in Edinburgh. The qualification is included on the European Qualification Framework (EQF) therefor it is equivalent to a full Bachelor of Arts degree. I want to know is this type of course covered?

2. College or training provider

Currently the academy is a private held institution thus the student cannot get a student loan. student who attend the school are able to apply a career development loan. However, at the moment I cannot apply for this loan as I do not meet one of the eligibility (I am not a Uk national)

I want to know can a person still get a loan if the college is not registered for receive student finance as long as the can provide a UKPRN NUMBER and learning and funding information letter?

As the college, has never done this before, if I provide them with the template below will that be acceptable? or do they need to fill out other documents as well.

3.Age

I am currently 23-year-old; therefore, I know I meet this criterion for the august 2016 changes.

4.Nationality or residency status

I was awarded with a DLR in September 2015. But I have lived in uk for over 12+ years. So I know I meet the criteria of not being a UK national but you’ve lived in the UK for at least 20 years (or at least half of your life)

Thank you in advance
HI Alex

Based on the information you have provided you would not apply for an advanced learner loan. You have advised that your course is an equivalent to a full Bachelor of Arts degree, this therefore is covered by Student Finance England : https://www.gov.uk/student-finance/who-qualifies

Please also be advised that for an Advanced Learner Loan the course must be at an approved college or training provider in England.

Thanks
