HELP! Thermodynamics homework!

Thermodynamics homework help! A mass of 0.35kg of ice at -15°C is lowered into an insulated beaker containing 0.61kg of water at 59°C. What is the temperature after equilibrium has been reached?

Every answer I have given has been wrong and I don't know what to do.

When they reach thermal equilibrium, they will both be have the same temperature.

What have you tried?

I've tried the Qlost = Qgained approach with the shc of ice and water.

Okay, can I see your exact equation please?

2030=shc of ice, 4180=shc of water
(0.35)(15-x)(2030)=(0.61)(x-59)(4180)

I think you should be using 15C-15^{\circ}C rather than +15C+15^{\circ}C.

No, it still says it's wrong, with or without the minus sign.
0.645 kg of Water is present at state 1 is state zero is ice justedipped into the watee

The question says nothing about Hydrogen Bonds, so I think we just ignore them.

Could you post the full question (and solution if you have it)?

I get about 2.9 degrees celcius for the final temp. What was your answer?
