A Levels for History Degree

Hi Guys,

I want to do a History degree after A levels and I've chosen History, English Literature and English Language. But, on many websites, I've read that either economics or Politics would be a better choice than English Language. Is this the case and will it matter when I'm already doing History and Literature??

Thanks!
No I don't think it will matter, those subjects seem fine for a history degree
I also want to do a history degree and I haven't taken politics- never even considered it!
As long as you do well in history it's fine

I have a friend who does Physics, Maths, History and English language and has offers to do a history degree so I think you'll be fine
I have friends who took History, Economics and Psychology doing History for Uni.
You're combination is great, but English lit and language might be too much since History and English Lit are pretty heavy itself (coming from someone doing English Lit and History right now and Business). Unless you know you can cope with all that essay subjects, then go ahead
