Question I need help with - Buffers

The ka value is 2.65*10-4 for weak acid HY.
0.03 Mol of the salt NaY is dissolved in 500cm3 of a 0.250moldm3 solution of the acid HY
Concentration (NaY) = 0.03/500*1000= 0.6
Ka = H+ + NaY/HY?
Am I going in the right direction or am I just completely wrong because I am really confused 😕

Ka = H+ + NaY/HY

You mean Ka = H+ x NaY/HY

times not plus

Plug the numbers in, re-arrange and calculate.
