Less chance of love at Cambridge

Is the workload at Cambridge so high and competitive that there is little time for socialising and falling in love, and finding a partner? Or is this the same as any other university?

everything you believe is true mate, i once studied geography at Gonville and Caius college and i faced the same problem. All the females in my class were too focused on their studies to even start a conversation at the dinner table, it really affected me emotionally, but i wish you all the best, it was very hard to go through...

Maybe you should just go to Manchester Met instead, I'm sure you'll find love there (single mums):u::u:

I'm sorry, did they change the reason why you go to university while I wasn't looking?

If you want to socialize and fall in love, work at Morrison's and just go out every night. Cause, y'know, getting a degree might get in the way of that.
Ok, I didn't go to Cambs myself, but I am 100% sure that the whole reading poetry and punting thing is a myth.
Seems it possible for them to find time to date sugardaddies

You seem to see studying and meeting a partner as incompatible.

I know of many people who met their partners at university.

However, if you look like your avatar, I can see why this didn't work for you. 😀

So no couples who met at Cambridge then?

Is this the real reason so many go to Durham?

I met my wife while we were both undergraduates at Cambridge. Plenty of our friends did the same.
wish I got into Cambridge so I could post these types of threads. Should I reject Cambridge? etc

What is your problem?

It is perfectly reasonable to expect that students in their late teens and early twenties would wish to form relationships with each other, as long as the time required for study didn't preclude so doing. That is a reasonable concern.
