One checks if they scroll down on the homepage and see the rep bar. Plus you won't lose your rep if a post or thread gets deleted dw.

I wondered that too before, she has the same amount as me and i've had my account for ages..

then I went to her profile and looked at her post count and it seems she's been very very busy

basically the more you post, the opportunity you have to collect reps...
