Worried about computer science controlled assessment

We are doing the computer science controlled assessment tomorrow (task 1) and im so worried,im okay at coding and i practice and stuff but still im not like great at coding. Any tips or advice for the controlled assessment, i code in python by the way.

A good documentation will get you more marks than the program itself.

Honestly at my school they dont even prepare us for controlled assesments but stil the majority of pupils come out with As in them. DW, You'll be ok :smile:

I would reccomend looking at sample controlled assesments provided by the exam boards as it helps to get an idea as to how to document your work properly to get high marks.

What are your tips for evaluation,im most worried about that and the test plan?Like what do i have to do in my evaluation to get full marks, my teacher hasnt really prepared us that well for the evaluation?

For testing, for each variable in your code, explain what you have to type to continue the program, and what you can type to break the program.

For the evaluation, sum up everything you did, refer to the mark scheme and state whether or not you were successful at meeting your requirements.

Hahah what? I've never heard these terms in CS, yet still managed to get an A* in A453 and A452. Your teacher should tell you what these mean.

This is what I did:
>the code
>requirements
>development (screenshots of the code, with explanations of each line)
>psuedocode (written and flowchart using draw.io)
>testing
>evaluation

OCR.
I got 41/45 on a453, teacher said it was ok.
Then 43/45 on a452, teacher said solid A*

40 marks to get an A* for me.

These are really good results. For edexcel coursework is 25% and its made up of 3 tasks, task 1 is easy and is mostly about selection and input, task 2 is evaluation,test plan and a program that has to perform a calculation and task 3 i think its something to do with files im not sure as im on task 2.
