How do you describe energy?
Original post by Brunuk.
Atoms in motion.
That is kinetic energy.
If you have no science background please do not attempt to use it.

Wait I thought E=mc^2 describes gain in mass of an accelerating body- not an expert in relativity though

That, and so much more. It's used in nuclear physics to work out missing mass in fission reactions and stuff too.

Woah calm down, it's just a joke.
Religion is religion. Let us leave it at that. This is about what matters; matter.

Let's think about this.
What is matter?

"That which occupies space and possesses rest mass, especially as distinct from energy."What can be matter?
Can everything be matter?

What is the matter with matter being matter?

Have we discovered everything that there possibly could be? Is dark energy/matter real? Will we ever find it?
:beard:

"Let us leave it at that" ?!?!.
Do you live in a bubble, or in a fantasy or in the ivory tower or where exactly?.
You" leave at it "a barking chiwawa , not simething like religion which is destroying the world.

I actually live in the world of Pokemon. :charm:

What do you propose we do about that exactly?

You should define it as increased difficulty in speeding up the object as it gets closer to c, rather than an actual gain in mass.

You are dangerously naive about religion.

That joke went waaay over your head it seems.

Oh I understood the joke perfectly.
I just hate people joking about stuff that destroy himanity and the world like religion.
Original post by Brunuk.
The only thing that exists in the universe is matter, atoms.
Nothing exists but matter.
There is nothing "spiritual" in the universe- god, gods, spirits, souls, ghosts.
Hence ALL religions, superstitions are nothing but "spiritual" nonsense.

your mater is not just matter

so.... it is just atoms, according to you :h:

Again, EVERYTHING in the universe is just matter, atoms.
There is no such thing as god, gods, spirits or souls, or ghosts.

Let me qoute , it will explain what I mean:

Materialism is the belief that matter is the only thing that exists and that all things can be reduced to matter (and energy since matter is a form of energy). Therefore, materialism would state that all things in the universe, including mankind, are necessarily restricted to operate within the bounds of physical laws. The human mind would cease to exist upon death because the physical brain ceases to function. Materialism would deny the continuation of the mind after death.

If energy is interchangeable with mass, I'm not sure what your contention is. Subatomic particles like photons and Higgs bosons help define energy, in one way or another.
i was merely trying to point out that energy takes many forms and cannot always be describes as atoms moving.
EM waves for example. Photons have no mass.
We could move on to dark energy and matter, that will really wind up the OP.
Original post by Onde
I see. But the OP would contend that EM waves etc. are caused by the interaction of matter.
I will stick my neck out and state the OP could not explain EM waves.

I am the OP.
Listen my point is that ultimately EVERYTHING in the universe is a physical phenomena.

I have actually seen and experienced ghosts.
