Can you help me out with this question?
The points scored for running 200 metres are worked out using the formula
p²=5(42.5-T)²
Work out the time, in seconds it took Timmy to run 200 metres

square root both sides, divide both sides by square root 5, resolve for t and god help you because this question isn't clear about what p is

where p² is the number of points scored when the time taken to run 200 metres is T seconds.
Timmy scores 1280 points in the 200 metres

Okay so you have 1280=5(42.5−T)21280=5(42.5-T)^2 then rearrange to find T.
answer is 88.04 seconds
