Did you base your prom/ball dress on the theme?

Hi guys!

I'm in the process of choosing a ball dress for my year 13 prom. Our theme is 1930's... which I'm finding difficult to find inspiration from. Soooo, I want to know if you girls stuck to your theme or if you didn't?

If there is a theme, try to stick to it. I'm not a girl lol but I've been to events where there is a theme and people don't stick to it so there may be a few people who won't be wearing 1930s style dresses. But it's all for a bit of fun really.

Ours was on 4th July so they decided America but they changed it to Hollywood or a Masked Ball or something
We were meant to have masks but not a lot of people did x (that was year 11 prom)
For year 13 prom I want to get a dress like Belle and I want my date to be dressed in that blue suit from beauty and the beast x
