Aren't the Left so tolerant?

A lot of the reason I feel for Trump getting elected was the intolerant left. Now they respond to this by being more intolerant (and now aggressive).

Its very lucky that hasn't happened. If it did, the protesters would fire back. Even now, the protesters are seriously injuring people.

Looks like I was wrong, one of the protesters did get shot.

Say what you like about the guy, but he's right, even the largest mainstream media outlets like CNN reported it in a way suggesting that he deserved and incited the violence and deserved to be shut down because of his political views and what he says, it's insanity, and yet so many on the left seem reluctant to admit that what happened was wrong and disgraceful.

He is indeed right.

The police were ****ing useless, if they were black protesters they would have been charged down and arrested.

The police were asked to stand down by the mayor

The police were asked to stand down by the mayor

Because he encouraged the protesters.

I care more about Nazis and white supremacists than a riot.

They aren't attacking "white supremacists" or even white nationalists. They are attacking ordinairy conservatives who wear MAGA hats and disagree with the excesses of PC culture.

"Rabid"? She's emotional, sure, but her message is correct. Why do the police always protect neo-Nazis?

They are protecting average Trump supporters. Gavin McInnes, Milo types are not "nazis" or even white nationalists. They are pro-free speech types who dislike Islam and radical feminism. Their opinions are not different to your average American conservative.

I don't know what you people are trying to achieve, you've effectively declared war on half the American population. People with guns who would like nothing more than any excuse to shoot "commies". Eventually antifa will be declared a terrorist orginisation and will be subject to extreme state suppression.

A few thousand middle class kids and old punks, transweirdos, AIDS patients, pedophiles and the rest of the rank and file of the extreme left VS 80% of the military and police? How do you think this will turn out?

A lot of these people think it's morally correct to murder anyone that doesn't agree with their Anarcho-Socialist opinions.

Yeah good luck with that. This is just like the communists during the Wiemar except they have far less suppor especially where it matters. Look how that turned out for them and their co-ethnics?

Police are protecting the Constitution and, in particular, the first amendment.

She's a narcissistic shrew.
Hate speech is not free speech.

The agenda "I believe I have the right to be an offensive *******" is not one we should tolerate. There are a lot of things that are prohibited in the name of either protecting individuals from themselves and/or others from them, and I see no difference here.

I wonder if the same people who idolize Milo also would support the right to free speech of radical Islamic preachers.

Personally, I am against both of them.

But that is exactly true.

His entire method is to aggravate people...

He was giving a talk on Cultural Appropriation, that isn't hate speech.
Yeah, let's group a small minority of Berkeley students, one of the most 'progressive' colleges in the US, and use that to say the entire Left is intolerant.

Let's not pretend that it was a Republican congress that hindered every action Obama tried to take in his presidency, and the Tea Party originated within the Right and not the Left.

Interestingly you choose to call out AntiFa as a 'terrorist organisation'. No comments, then, about Trump's cosying up to several extremely intolerant alt right groups, his selection of the race-baiting alt-righter Steve Bannon as chief strategist, and his lack of comment on attacks against Muslims as shown as his silence on the Quebec attack?

Trump's VP supports gay conversion therapy. Where is the tolerance then for the LGBT community? Trump himself denied the ability of Judge Curiel to carry out his job purely because he is of Mexican heritage. Is that a tolerant act in your opinion?

I also disagree with how far PC has gone. But a) that doesn't mean I go cry about it like Milo and his goons do, and b) it certainly doesn't mean that the very other extreme to over the top PC is the solution. Not to mention if you look at the motives behind each, at least PC is based on an (if more and more misguided) idea of being "nice", whereas Milo and the so-called "free speech" advocates think it is their "right" to go around insulting whomever they want just because. If you had the option of a totalitarian regime that follows Milo and one that follows PC, which one would you choose? Which one would be a more pleasant world to live in?

Milo is an *******. How can anyone wonder why people hate him?

Does it matter? They were protesting him, and you know as well as I do that wherever he goes, he spreads his anger.

When was the last time the alt-right got together and started rioting in the streets?

Do you think people should be banned from trying gay conversion therapy if they want to try it?

Because extreme right wingers are so accepting and loving. Maybe both are just as bad as each other

Totally . But extreme left wingers are meant to be the peaceful and smart ones.
