When is the best time to ask a girl out?

I talk to her on occassions, as I have been trying to come across as not too eager.

I really like her, but I doubt she likes me. Might aswell try though

If i do ask her out I plan on telling her something like "ill take you out are you free on..."

Well, how long have you known her for?

Also don't do the period thing... She already has one stressful thing to deal with.
