your life is so tragic, can't believe you've been brainwashed into not having fun! come on you are young, you only live once, and you're not going to enjoy your youth at all!

Funnily enough, not living a promiscuous lifestyle in your youth will probably lead you to have a happier life.

Religious people are often happier.

Women who did not attend church were less happy and in protective terms, going to church more regularly made women less subject to the various forces that produced the decline in happiness.

Where did the user you quoted advocate for a "promiscuous lifestyle"?

It depends on the person.

If they like to be controlled by themselves, thinking that it is some external force commanding it, and they're happy doing so, then good on them.

I could never find happiness in religion. I saw the laws and regulations as absolutely absurd, and some of the content of the "holy" texts themselves as abhorrent. I, then, asked myself "why do I even believe in the first place?". I didn't find any other answer than societal circumstances, so I distanced myself. I couldn't be happier.
Is there a point in Muslim women studying if the man is meant to be the breadwinner?

But not because of religion, or religious beliefs. It is because of the increased socialisation church attendance brings. And it only applies in religious countries, which Britain (and Europe in general) is not.

Not an argument.

Also, this is not America.
It still applies.

"Muh go and have fun"

What implication is that supposed to give me?

It still applies.

Well obviously it depends on the person. But that's not how averages work.

No one said everyone would find happiness from religion. I clearly said "probably" NOT "definitely."

No, it doesn't as Britain is not a religious country.

Most Muslims in the UK aren't so dogmatic as some in here.

Scrabble, cricket, rugby and doing crosswords are fun.

I'm talking about more from a theological view i.e. what does the scripture say?

I think it's the same with all Abrahamic religions.

For the people that find comfort in ignorance, sure.
