Make of that what you will. Unfortunately due to the fact they want this campaign closed by April and the new Belfast office won't be ready until 2018 probably at the earliest, I expect most remaining people waiting a formal offer to have their offers rescinded. After that people should be looking at the fairness of the process.

WTF are you on about?!

First of all, the Lisburn posts were for HOs and mostly filled by internal staff who had applied for the campaign (and would have already been cleared) or those who were lucky enough to have had PECs completed at that time the staff were requested.
Secondly, the new HMRC office that is planned for Belfast will not be ready for years and when it is all HMRC staff will be based there - that includes Lisburn staff, but I don't see them being told to go home and wait 3 years while they build a new office.
HMRC have taken on about 100 new staff in Belfast in 2017 so they are still posting staff and I imagine they will continue to do so as they will end up losing out if they start rejecting new staff.
You don't seem to have any idea how it works but insist on taking the most negative possibility and making it a reality.

Finally, I see that there is a new job listed on the CSR site for 2x O grade in Belfast. These have been written up as specialist jobs but when you read through the JD they don't seem like anything special, and so could have been filled from the existing list. Upon seeing it for the first time I couldn't help but think to myself that the recruiting local office had seen your posts on here and has requested a specialist recruitment campaign to avoid getting lumbered with you off the existing list. If this is the case, I do not blame them!

Maybe Jamz that politician stood up in Westminster for you after all. It may have involved a full investigation and therefore now you are waiting even longer for a government investigation into why one member of the public doesn't have a job! You could have started months ago otherwise and could now be your own worst enemy! The irony!

Not the case. Many people are waiting besides myself. Fact remains we received Offers in August at the same time as people who started in November for the same job grade and the fact we are still waiting is a joke. The internal argument that people who are internal Start first I understand but there are people who were external who started ahead of people who have been waiting longer which is unacceptable. They shouldn't make job offers they are incapable of honouring

As an HMRC SEO I have read through this thread and read a lot of nonsense from a variety of people whether that be current HMRC staff or applicants awaiting deployment in the department so let me shed some light on a number of matters if I can.

Firstly, no-one will lose an offer or be rejected from a post when it arises on the basis of comments they may or may not make on an internet forum contrary to suggestions otherwise. Even if that was the policy of withdrawal or disqualification which it isn't. there's absolutely no way of linking an internet forum profile to an applicant's name awaiting deployment for one thing and people suggesting otherwise are giving inaccurate information and I would advise all current HMRC members of staff to consider their responsibilities on these forums.

Secondly, in relation to those still waiting and becoming frustrated I urge patience. People posting here represent a small fraction of those being deployed and there is a lot of offers going out all the time. The department remains confident that the April 2017 deadline of issuing Formal Offers will be met. I agree to an extent with those complaining about the process in that there should have been a better co-ordination with the opening of new offices and the deployment of new Os/HOs however it is what it is. The department recognizes that in a recruitment campaign of this scale there is going to be rumor and speculation on internet forums and frustration will grow the longer it takes.
I would urge all current HMRC staff to bear this in mind. None of you would like to be in this position waiting for a position to arise with all the doubts and uncertainty still there and that's before considering the personal circumstances many of these applicants may or may not have and patronizing inconsiderate remarks will not make things any easier for them.
