does anyone know what's the most effective way to lose weight. I want to exercise but am worried that it will build more muscles instead of toning them down - i want to get rid of thick thighs and calves.

Go for a walk everyday, eat a bit less. I was really fat before now I am on a normal weight

You can try plant protein based shakes, they are perfect for helping you tone

cardio and strengthening exercises which target the legs. don't worry you won't start bulking up. Exercise is definitely the way to go when losing weight - cutting down your food intake usually doesn't help.

The scientific evidence is exactly opposite to the advice you are giving here. Exercise makes very little difference long term to weight loss. Reducing the amount of energy you consume in your diet is the only non-surgical way to lose weight effectively.

I shouldn't have phrased in the way I did but I suggested exercise over weight loss because it sounded like the OP just wants toned legs - as opposed to cutting their overall bodyweight. The most effective way to tone up is to exercise
