What is your review of The Garden Halls? (Intercollegiate hall)

How is the social life at The Garden Halls? Are most of the rooms en-suite (I found the info on website rather confusing)? And is there a good mixture of UCL, LSE, KCL, and other London uni students?

yo! a couple of my coursmates are at garden halls so i've been there really nice facilities and yes rooms are ensuite, but there are shared showers. the kitchens are massive as they cater for about 17 people, so with so many people in the flat it's usually going to be quite social! even though it is intercollegiate, the majority of students staying there are UCL. also, it's brand new and very modern! as far as i know it's as social as all the other halls too! hope this helps

Hey! That sounds great If you don't mind me asking more questions, answering these will help me so much. Are the rooms private? as in do they have 1 bed and desk per room with lockable doors? Or is a bedroom shared? Because I am looking for a private room with shared kitchen/common room. I am insuring KCL so I also wonder if there are any KCL students.

How many people share each toilet at college hall

Oh ok! but I'm considering single- (that's being offered on LSE's hallpad and it's cheaper haha). Do you know how many single rooms share each bathroom?

I currently live at the Garden Halls - really liking it so far! It's a very sociable hall as the catered aspect means people do interact with each other a lot, and you're not stuck with a bunch of forced flatmates you hate by the end of the year.

From what I can tell, the majority of the rooms are single catered ensuite. The main alternative to this are the 'townhouse' rooms, which are slightly smaller, non-ensuite and self-catered, with each townhouse sharing a kitchen. There are a few exceptions to these two room types, but most are like this.

I study at KCL. Most people study at either UCL or SOAS, but there's a really good mix of colleges and I've met many people studying a huge variety of courses at different universities. It's a very diverse hall.

That's great to hear as I hold a conditional offer from KCL and I love KCL. Are there enough number of KCL students to socialise with one another? (not that I don't want to socialise with non-KCL students of course! (: )

I applied through the LSE portal and got accepted today (ensuite catered). My main concerns are 1) room's size and 2) the possibility of socialising with people of my same uni. I wonder whether the fact that there are people from different universities will be a problem?

I literally just got my offer too! My only concern is if i go for catered will I ever have access to a kitchen? Like what if i want to make food for lunch
