Hi, Is anyone studying war of the worlds for English literature? I'm struggling to find people in the same position as me as I don't think it's very popular...my teacher hasn't been in for two months so I'm not all we've done is read the book, is anyone able to help? I don't know what quotes I should be remembering, or themes of context etc. Thanks!
If your teacher hasn't been in for two months, talk to the English subject leader or something. You can't just sit around and read War of The Worlds, you need to analyse with help from a teacher.

We are having supply teachers to try to help but they are focusing on Macbeth, poetry and animal farm, they've said we are going to do it after Easter but I want to start now as it's a hard text, so i was just asking to see if anyone could help pointing me in the write direction
You could always buy one each with a friend if money is an issue.
The point is dont let the fact teacher has been ill distract you. Amazon lets you look inside the books, they both seem to over what you want.. Dont get bogged down by it.
