Should women be allowed to play in the same football team as men?

I can answer this. There have been many occasions where World Cup class womens' teams have been utterly THRASHED by non-professional under 18s boys football teams.

It's almost as if someone plucked one straight from the DailyMail offices, you've even accidentally hit the caps lock as you typed, making it look just like one of their headlines. I guess it must just be some sort of twitch or something you get breathing in all the second hand propaganda that goes around that place.

I don't like football, but I can clearly see that some women players are better than most male players.

You should've stopped there. Most male professionals are better than almost all female professionals, end of.
I'd love to see Germany men v USA women, if they can beat Brazil 7-1 then god knows what they'd do to a women's team.

Why would it be hard to believe that boys are better than women at football, there is a larger player pool and they practice against a higher level of competition.

I don't read no-newspapers period. You probably huff up all that Guardian **** though.
People are being pretty weird in this thread. Allowing females to play top level sport =/= having a mandatory minimum number of women.

Sure, why not. That is what it is like in many sports, and should be like in all sports for anyone interested in equality.

Now would any women make it to any top level professional sport whatsoever? No of course not. But if someone comes along one day and is actually good enough they should have that opportunity theoretically available to them.
Here is an example of why we shouldnt probably,
I suck at football, like from the 12 boys who were in my class, i would be 11th in skill. I get thrashed by boys 6 year younger than me as well usually.
Yet when you put me in the line of girls of my old class. I would be 2/3nd , only 1/2 girls was/were better than me. 1 definitely was and 1 was like even with me I guess.

I never said it was hard to believe boys are better, not even once. Just like meth.

They tend to put caps in their online articles.

I don't huff up anything. I just found it strange you felt the need for tacky looking caps for emphasis?
Just a bit of a picky criticism really.

Not really. There were other elements of DailyMailism in there also.

I literally don't care. Feel free to debate me on the topic of the thread rather than how I write or if I am similar to some newspaper that I don't even read.

Fine.

1) You say there are numerous occasions of this happening. False.

2) You imply on all occasions they are thrashed. Evidence?

3) Referring to the AUSTRALIAN womans TEAM who WERE beaten by the u15 boys Jets team, who are an A-league CLUB, the game was not a competitive one, it wasn't even a friendly, it WAS a training game. Having played training games at my club at under age level, against teams at a higher level, the younger side almost always tend to have something to prove, whereas the older side tend not to give a **** really. Not to mention they never even fielded their best players for that training session.

Regardless, any clubside older that u14 from a country that (somewhat) regularly sends national teams to the WC finals is probably going to beat a female national team. That's really not surprising. However it isn't the question at all.

The QUESTION was in FACT should they be allowed TO play if they are good enough to compete AT that level. Surely the answer should be yes.

Yes and men are also better at most things, but we can't say that in this feminist environment.

Feminism is just a front for a communist agenda. I believe in equal opportunity (which is why we already have women's football) but I don't believe in equal treatment (which is why theres no mixed league)

Giving everyone an equal treatment when they're clearly not equal is called what again?…
Communism!

So I am assuming you support it?

To be honest, I agree with you.

This is some attempt at making some grand statement that women can be just as good as men and we're all equal but this is just not true in sport.

Which female players are you referring to? When top level females have played against males they've been trounced every time.

I think women should be allowed to play in the same teams as men. I'm not sure there is even anything against it happening, the reason we have the Women's World Cup and separate women's teams is because women simply cannot get into the first teams of nations and clubs.

By most things you mean sports?

Men are better at sports and to deny it you'd be lying to yourself. I'm not going to talk outside of sports but men are arguably better than women at a lot of things that aren't sports. I.e. Intellectual ability. Now obviously us females are better at men in some things but we are at a disadvantage compared to men. For example girls doing better at school than guys. It's not that we have more intellect, it's that most of us are more mature than the average high school boy, thus work harder. To say it's not true that men are at an advantage, you are lying to yourself. It's harsh but its true.

When have I ever advocated communism? Lol. I barely advocate socialism, I just think many socialist values can be and should be implemented into a capitalist society. That's about as socialist as I get. Although I do support government ownership in a few aspects but nothing on a communist scale

You belong in the liberals.
After reading your beliefs etc.
I think you are a far better fit in the liberals.

I also find you agreeing with bills I write.

You could actually make your mark in liberals and shape policy more in your direction , the labour party are far too left for you.
You would be a good liberal MP /cabinet minister.

yes of course. but the time should be shortened to maybe 15 minutes each half. like in tennis where the ladies only play one or two sets.

Hmmm liberals won't get into government any time soon and I don't think I've ever felt negative towards any Labour legislation or policies since joining. From what I've heard from Ray, he believes in much the same as me, although In some aspects they are to the left of me but I know that since I'm pretty much from the centre of the party which is great because Ray and his government are centre left.

Your party seems to be taking a political stance only seen when Blair wiped out the UK conservatives in 1997?

Also in terms of social policy and economic policy I do differ so thanks but no thanks
