Government and Politics

I am wanting to take G&P for A-Levels but i just have a few questions....
1) Is it good
2) Is it complicated
3) would you recommend it
3) What did you study on the course
4) What are the main theories and ideologies of nationalism and socialism?

1. Yes. It is not a facilitating subject, but it is still a respected subject.
2. Not very. A few things are a bit harder, but I would not say it is hard overall.
3. Yes.
4. Democracy, political parties, elections, pressure groups, the constitution, the Parliament, the Prime Minister, and the judiciary, in that order. Basically, how the UK works from a political standpoint.
5. We study no such thing in Government and Politics. Nationalism and socialism are ideologies in themselves.

maybe you do a different course but we do political ideologies at A2 (and i think most people do either this or america)

I did Edexcel and we were going to study about the US at A2.
AQA I believe are changing the spec this year to include Political Ideologies

1)yes if you are really into it and keep up
2)no its the easier a level it's all memorising
3)yes - but no if you are not keeping up with it
3)OCR - political parties, pressure groups, democracy, elections, prime minister+cabinet, judges, constitution, Parliament
4)do the subject if ya wanna know :ahee:
