Hey! I'm doing the US for unit 3 and 4 too. Did you want to discuss something?

Are you skipping any topics? I'm not doing voting behaviour and media (in the elections topic). I don't want to risk skipping anything else. I feel a bit overwhelmed with the amount of content though.

I haven't skipped topics but there are some I've sort of just scanned over like national committees in Political Parties, I tailor most of it to past paper questions really in terms of what I scan over and what I look at in more detail

I hope this helped!
what resources are you using to study 3C and 4C? which textbook r u using?

We use a Hodder Education book by Anthony J Bennett, apart from this i tend to just google recent examples, there are good websites too like revision world?

Guys, I feel a 15 mark about Scalia or his death. Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Lol, specifically about Scalia dying?

More about the strengths/weaknesses of the appointments process, maybe, or its politicisation. I feel like that's too obvious though. Questions related to current events usually come up the following year.
Any predictions for 3/4 B >

Yeah that's the best way to do it it's better to know 3 in depth and maybe skim the fourth ideologys core themes just in case for the 15s and no I'm doing 3 for each unit

oh yeah tbh nationalism is hard, are you gonna miss that one out?
i agree socialism is quite a lot, anarchism is much more straightforward. its also nice because you have the critiques of anarchism which makes the 'is it an impossible dream' straight forward to answer
for the question: 'multiculturalism promotes cultural mixing rather than cultural separateness' discuss. am i right in saying....

1) liberal mc promotes both, more so mixing than separateness (endorse diversity to fit liberal paradigm so its limited mixing/ promote cultural unity in public sphere so mixing could be said to be limited to private sphere/endorse diversity as it promote cultural understanding, tolerance, creates a vibrant society)

2) cosmopolitan mc promotes cultural mixing (hybridity, pick and mix society, culture is fluid etc)

3) pluralist mc promotes cultural mixing (advocate deep diversity, accept illiberal views, every belief is equal and should be allowed to live)

4) particulairst mc promotes cultural separateness (think that western culture dominates and corrupts other views so minority groups should keep to themselves to avoid western culture through things such as plural monoculturalism)

are the pluralist and particularist views right? on the mark scheme it says that pluralist mc promote separateness but i dont understand how it can if it promotes deep diversity? or is the mark scheme just not specifically referring to the particularist extension of pluralist mc?

What are the strands of conservatism

I keep getting confuses. I know there's one nation and the new right.....
What are the others?

Also are neo liberals and neo-conservatives separate strands?
