Based on what I know from other Blues level sports most will be strong county standard. A few might have some national level play and a few might be very talented overseas students who can rapidly convert from some other sport due to the right physique and natural technique etc. Nearly everyone will have taken rugby very seriously beforehand, but there is likely to be some space for alternative routes. The club website usually gives some idea of player backgrounds- have you found that?
