Well Tommy is no longer part of the EDL, specifically stating it became too radical for him. Tommy hasn't said anything that's racist, and he didn't tell members of the EDL to chant "F*** off pakis" or whatever on the train, so I don't know why he should be held accountable for those actions.
Tommy's arrests have all been agenda-driven and he was placed in prison for mortgage fraud after the police underwent targeted investigations (i.e. they had no proof of the crime until they sifted through everything he had). The prison he went to was known for Islamic extremism and there were multiple attempts on his life. If you look at his arrests, all but one of the charges have been dropped and the arrests themselves occurred on days when he was supposed to hold rallies. Look at the recent arrest, which is for recording outside court. It's very rare to ever see this law enforced, and many reporters have done the exact same when they were unaware they were breaking the law.
He is not racist, as the 'bad' things he has said have been critiques of Islam; Islam isn't a race, it's an ideology and should be critiqued accordingly. All he seems to do nowadays is talk about issues within Islam, such as extremism, paedophilia, FGM, etc. and yet the attacks he faces are totally unjust.
I think it would be smart to listen to his talks and how he went from potential millionaire in the housing market to broke for simply opposing an ideology. You will learn a lot about why he holds those views and how they've affected his life (spoiler: it's not just blatant racism that has formed his character)
