A Level Physics QS HELP!

Hey, could someone help me with this qs pls!

A particle P describes SHM, making three complete oscillations per second. At a certain instant, P is at the Point O and is moving at its maximum speed of 5ms-1.

Find the Speed of P 0.05s after it passes through O.
Sorry you've not had any responses about this. :frown: Are you sure you've posted in the right place? :smile: Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there. :redface:

You can model SHM motion using

x=Asin(ωt) x = A \sin( \omega t)

v=dxdt=Aωcos(ωt) v = \frac{dx}{dt} = A \omega \cos(\omega t)

Aω A \omega is the max speed.

ω=2πf=6π \omega = 2 \pi f = 6 \pi because three complete oscillations per second.

Make sure when you do the trigo computation using your calculator, it is set to radian mode.
