Liverpool Hope Halls Guest Policy

Hi, I'm coming to Liverpool hope next year to study biological sciences. I've been looking at St Michaels halls in aigburth. But According to the Liverpool hope guest policy guests aren't allowed to stay with you in halls but instead have to pay for guest accommodation. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how strict they are with this policy or whether this only applies to certain halls.
Thanks!

Hey, just giving this thread a little bump in the hopes someone will see it and reply

Have you found University Connect yet? It's super useful for finding other people on your course/at your university!

Did you ever find out whether or not they were strict about bringing guests back?

Hey I would also like to know if there strict on bringing guests back, let us know if you find out anything
Don't live at Aigburth halls omg. They're not nice at all and the student resident teacher is super strict there and especially with the guest policy. Honestly, if you're a first year i would apply to Wesley Halls as they are the nicest ones you can get. As a whole, they're relatively strict on the guest policy but as long as you keep it lowkey then they won't care, especially if you have a relaxed SRT but all of the laid back ones are on the main campus, not Aigburth.

Hello. Can I ask you in what way the student resident teacher is super strict? Also, what does student resident teacher actually mean? Thanks.

Hi there!

Each Hall has a what we call a Senior Resident Tutor (SRT). They live in halls or nearby and they are the first port of call for all of our residential students, should they need any help or advice. They are often somebody who is studying a research degree at the university. They are all fully trained. While they are also there to ensure that our students know what they can and can't do in halls, their main role is to help students to socialise. At Liverpool Hope, we want everybody to feel like they are part of the community, and our SRT's organise social and sporting events for halls, share information on events taking place across the university, and help the students get to know one another. They also help organise the regular dining in nights, which is a chance for everybody to dress up and enjoy a fancy meal together! Hope that helps! Andrea

That's great, thanks. My son is very shy, which has always been one of the reasons he has been a bit unsure of the idea of uni. Are the dining in nights just for first years? My son will be going directly into year two if he goes.
