UK terror threat level reduced to severeWatch
Now this really ****es me off.
So they think they are closing in on the bomber's network and have almost identified and rounded them all up and as a result the soldiers will be taken off the streets.
Yet in another report yesterday it stated that there are 23,000 dangerous individuals associated with extremist/jihadist views currently aware to security services in the UK > https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/h...ists-3zvn58mhq
How is a handful of people who have been arrested in this current most recent attack enough for the security to be reduced when such a massive threat still actually exists?
This government really seems to treat security as a ****ing joke - it is reactionary and an afterthought rather than being trying to be pre-emptive.
The 'critical' level is only ever supposed to be in place for a few days at a time. 'Severe' still means that an attack is considered "highly likely", and the investigation into the Manchester attack (and the March attack in Westminster) still continues at a rapid pace.
