Hi All
I thought it would be useful to have a thread in which we can all discuss the 2017 Science exams. We can help each other with areas of weaknesses, as well as discuss how we are feeling about the exam, etc.
Also, if you have any useful resources or predictions to share, please do as it will benefit others. If you need any resources, just ask and hopefully someone will be able to send them.
All the best with revision and the exams!

I know exacly how you are feeling right now? Have you done any revision at all yet?
I would describe how I like to revise, however it might not be completely helpful as you don't have a lot of time to revise. I will just list the basics.
- Look at WHAT you need to know - break each unit down into slightly smaller topics, so you know what you are doing
- Colour code them with you confidence levels (Confident, Ok, Unsure)
- Revise them starting from least confident
- Test yourself using past papers after revising each section

I hope you do find this useful, or that it atleast gives you some guidance. This is how I would revise if I only had 2-3 days to revise. Remember, what works for me, may not work for you.

I will also attach some documents that may be useful
Ranked by easiness/how much I enjoy them:
1. P6
2. P4
3. P5

What about you?

For me all of the topics are level pegging. However, I find P6 much more boring because it is less 'Physicsy', so I usually do worse in it. Despite this, all the units are fine to cope with.

I would probably also agree with you. I also feel that P6 is less physicsy, hence why I find it the easiest.

I thought it might be useful to provide a breakdown of all the topics, so that it is easier to revise and identify any areas of weakness.

I suggest copying this onto an Excel worksheet, or even just writing it out. Then, you can colour code it using three colours, depending on your understanding. This is a good way of identifying where your strengths and weaknesses are, as well as what you need to revise more. You can also monitor your progress to see if your revision is working. I will probably be making a similar list for the other Science exams when I have time.

Which of these areas are you most confident in, and which do you find more difficult?

the A* grade boundary last year 36/60 which is very low (not that i'm complaining) and was 29/60 for an A. anyone have any ideas about how hard it will be compared to last year/ P123 this year?
