Do you REALLY want to know why people voted Labour?

Starting with the youngest: they just don't know what they are voting for, the lack of life experience makes it an entirely idealistic ride and that is it. We see it here, most can't even talk in their own words, like zombies repeating cliches and nothing else. Truly hard to find a young Corbyn supporter capable of holding a conversation, let's put it down to age.

The poor and everyone down on their luck: of course they voted Corbyn, he is the embodiment of all hope to get out of their situation. They have had a Tory government for 7 years and of course they want change. Any change, as long as something changes and they'd vote for a monkey if he had any to offer. Can't blame them for it, they must be forgiven.

Feminists: they are the spiritual home for women who need help with their status. Mrs. Thatcher strongly opposed such attitude, she believed it was up to them to get stuck in like she did when she proved a woman can make it in a man's world if made of the right stuff. Feminists who prefer to take it a bit easier vote Labour, to legislate for equality. how it must rile them to see women make it big only with the Tories and their meritocracy. Scum!

Who else? The old and new communist brigade can only vote Labour, well-off socialists fretting over the plight of 'those poor' at dinner-parties in Hampstead vote Labour to make themselves feel less guilty about their bank balance, ISIS militants know Corbyn would like to stop bothering their brothers back home and that is a good reason for them to vote Labour...

This could go into the small hours, if there is any other section of the Labour vote you'd like explained... just shout.

ps, one more, quickly. People who struggle to have a proper debate on any issue tend to vote Labour too, if TSR is anything to go by. Abusive people, they tend to be Labour voters too, people more intolerant of other views, people who'd like to force their opinions on everyone, people with little appetite for all this democratic lark... for some reason, and it pains me to say... they tend to be Labour voters.

I hate Theresa May. She should've stepped down after that over confidence and failing to win the election.

Lol nice of you to lump all labour supporters together. Seems like it's you who believe labour are so "bad". Right wingers are truly piss taking to debate with because they just think they're superior for some reason.
Labour have increased their vote share from 30 per cent to 40 per cent in two years and that's a serious electoral threat to the Conservatives so they have to start looking at why people are turning to Labour and listening to the public.

When Labour were struggling everyone said they had paid the price for being out of touch with people who had started deserting them, they said they were racist for having concerns about immigration, or misinformed for daring to support Brexit etc. Now that they have started to win voters back, will the Conservatives listen to the voters concerns, or will they just say "people voted Labour because they are stupid". Good luck winning voters back from Labour if your response is to insult them.

Or maybe they just didn't want a female emperor Palpatine remaining PM?

Did you consider that people voted because they wanted to save the NHS?
Because they preferred the policies put out by the Labour party either for themselves or for the country.
Exactly the same way it worked for people who voted for the Cons.
Unfortunately you cant respect or agree with anyone else voting differently from the way you want so you have these repeated rants that people dared to exercise their own judgment.

You are full of tedious bile.

Hence you have nothing left except to resort to these trolling threads.

Let it go dude. You lost your majority and not everyone sees the world the same way as you do. At least you didnt bet money on it and lose.
You are still in power, so get behind your leader and start giving people the positives about what the government is doing for them.
"ISIS militants know Corbyn would like to stop bothering their brothers back home and that is a good reason for them to vote Labour..."

Are you seriously going to make this argument after May has openly stated she'll work with the DUP?

yeah, they are accounted for under those who can't see beyond their noses or talk in anything other than unimaginative slogans and meaningless cliches.

The purpose of the current austerity is to save up money to reinvest in the NHS and all other public services in future, you people talk about it as if the tories just want to see everyone die

Increases PM length time and addresses House of Commons like "I am the parliament" and then proceeds to do some spinning attack move at Sadiq Khan trying to arrest her.

.Are you putting the DUP on the same footing as ISIS? Another Labour voter, no conservative could talk such nonsense...

The conservatives have been severely underfunding the NHS whilst simultaneously pissing off doctors and nurses - it doesn't make it seem like they care about it at all. They probably wanna starve it until it collapses so they can sell it off to their friends. Can I just also point out that the health secretary co authored a book about why we should privatise the NHS.

And lol at you saying that "The purpose of the current austerity is to save up money to reinvest in the NHS". That's a lie. So they're underfunding it now so that they can pay for it later? That makes no sense. It seems that you're the simple minded one.

it doesn't make sense to you because you haven't thought enough about it, that ain't my fault. look for an economist and ask him, he'll explain it better,

what pains me is seeing people not making use of their thinking ability, which is not the same as saying they don't have one.

Explain it to me then. How is underfunding the NHS good for anyone. I'm actually curious.
People voted labour because they knew someone like Theresa May would'nt be a very good PM. In all honesty May should just resign and this comes from a Conservative supporter.
And this is why people under 30 shouldn't be able to vote.
Oh wow  I really needed someone to tell me why I voted how I did, thanks for that :colonhash:

Because they voted differently to you and you don't approve? It's people like you that I strongly dislike. I'm sure a lot of people looked at multiple manifestos before making a choice.

I've done that comprehensively in other threads already but here is a resume:

The current level of Government/State debt is £1.5 trillion, we are paying 43 in interest every year. Even if austerity delivers nothing more of a reduction of £1 billion in that annual cost, next year we will have an extra billion in our pocket to invest in te NHS. If austerity manages to get rid of the deficit altogether you will have an extra £43 billion to invest in it. That is the tory policy, Labour's is to borrow more now and add to the interest, meaning next year you will have £1 billion less to invest in the NHS. Or whatever amount, depends on how much you want to spend. How much did they promise?

People who think there are easy solutions to complex problems, should have added that category... Did any of that help?
