Manifesto LIES!

-No new grammar schools

-Plans dropped to stop free lunches for all infants

-No legislation announced for education School funding plans to be put forward at a later date

-Changes to how individual school budgets are allocated will go ahead Technical education to be upgraded
(source BBC)

What is your opinion on not following through manifesto promises?
AND what is your opinion on Grammar school? (is it fair?)
What's the point of writing promises on a manifesto if they are never going to happen?
Unless it was just lies to get in?
But these where not the main debated issues?
Strange...
I think it is not right to judge where a kid can go to school through his or her SATS or any other tests.
At that age you just don't care.
And the school you go to may have a big impact on your education.
What's the point of discussing this when you can't change the inevitable?
That's true, from the dawn of time politicians have been lying to get into power!
But I think it's important for society to discuss what's going on,
for example would we do anything about climate change if society didn't talk about it with passion?
Interesting, I didn't know that
I'm not sure what the future holds as people strongly appose the DUP party!
That sounds pretty good, and I think a better alternative!

Such lies
Jezza's Queen's Speech has been leaked....

i hate you so called Queen and your ghastly family.

starting from tomorrow all disadvantaged kids will get £500 cash pocket money a week.

upon reaching the age of 18 each disadvantaged kid will be allowed into the Oxbridge college of their choice.

it will be illegal for examiners to fail disadvantaged kids at any exams from GCSEs up to PhD level.

all privately owned gardens of area exceeding my marrow patch will be confiscated and given to inner city people to enjoy.

the so called green belt will be turned into a motocross track and dogging facility for underprivileged families.

all the so called treasures of the British Museum will be repatriated to the countries they were looted from.

private schools will have to either close or become bog standard comprehensives by the end of this term.

any teacher found promoting anti-socialist works such as Animal Farm will be dismissed. children found with bourgeois fantasy works such as Brideshead Revisited shall be sent to Diane for reprogramming.

the use of the letters D.G. on our coinage is highly offensive to atheists and non-Christians. thus the so-called Royal Mint will produce replacement coins with the letters P.G, which stands for Plebs Gratia.

finally the House of so-called Lords is abolished from next Thursday. the ridiculous garments will be donated to refugee crisis centres in the Gaza strip.

that is all comrades. remember to call the free informer hotline on 0800 07111917 if you suspect any of your friends or family of any anti-revolutionary activities or opinions.

They don't have the majority to push this crap through - thank God.
Glad I didn't vote for them.

All politicians lie in their manifesto, some worse than others... Clegg

I don't think Clegg lied did he? The Lib Dems have never won a majority to be able to form a government and be able to implement their manifesto.

He admitted to breaking promises, he even released an apology video.

He is ****ing scum.

Clegg had the numbers to stop the proposals.

The tories don't have a majority so can't pass all their manifesto through.

It's unfortunate they are not following their manifesto on these issues as they are all good plans however I understand why. As for grammar schools I think they are brilliant and in my experience my grammar school has pushed me much further than I would have been at the local comprehensive. For example I saw a girl who went to my primary school who use to be very bright and hard working standing with a bunch of morons smoking and I am sure if she had gone to a grammar she would be doing much better.

To be fair to the Conservatives, they've scrapped these policies because they won't be able to get them through the House of Commons. There would be no point in attempting to do so when the civil service is incredibly busy trying to deal with the Brexit calamity.

It's a shame that the triple-lock on pensions won't be scrapped, and it's also a shame that the means-testing of the winter fuel payments won't come in. We have an ageing population, so the costs of these policies are going to spiral.

Good to see that the fox-hunting vote has been scrapped, and that the arbitrary migration target, which would harm the economy, has been dropped.
