You should look into making a blog if you're serious about lifting, its not a bad place to get advice. Reddit is good too...gotta maximise them beginner gainz


I was thinking about doing that, but I'm kinda embarrassed to post how much I can currently lift :/

I don't wanna get immensely swole or anything, just wanna put on a bit of muscle... kinda want a physique like this dude we both know :wink:

we all started with embarrassing numbers bro (ngl my bench is absolute poverty considering I've actually been lifting for longer than people think)

And rah mans actually kinda wedge, bigger than I thought he would be at least

140kg X (grip failed, forgot chalk)
80kg x3 (sumo)

Surprised at how "easy" 135kg was though, means I haven't lost much (if any) strength during this cut (esp as I've been fasting too)

Accessories: tricep extensions, rowing 1km

Kinda stuck here, not sure why I can't get any reps with 45kg considering I did 42.5kg x5 before and amrap at 40kg is 7 or 8 I can't remember

It happens, strict press can be difficult to add weight on, add volume to lighter weights and it should budge

Yeah I'll probably just do load of AMRAP sets at the end and start doing push press again as I'm back on a program from Monday

120kg x5 (+2 rep PR)

130kg felt heavvvyy affff, heavier than any successful attempt I've made at even 140kg from what I remember lol. Was intending to get 3 but damn 1 was hard af. Made a volume PR at 120kg at ~4.5kg lighter BW though (since I last made a VPR at 120) so thats calm

Accessories: chinups, lat pulldown, GHD

Snatch Balance:
30kg 5x3

Snatch:
25kg 6x3

2 misses on full snatch but its coming off my hip now. So now its just a matter of regaining my snatch balance with the wider grip as my pulls are more developed, and I'm looking to make a PR in about 5-6 weeks.

Personal cues: LOOK FORWARD ON EXTENSION, RELAX SHOULDERS/TIGHT BACK

Bench:
55kg x5
60kg 2x3

rip my bench, its gone back to ultra poverty mode after not benching for just over 3 weeks smh. Will Texas Method my way back

Push press:
40kg x3
45kg x3
50kg x2

Again lost lots of strength here. I am in need of a rest day though, this programme is kinda intense.
Texas method will help your bench...I ran Texas for a few weeks and my pushing strength regressed lol
