Daily Prayer Thread - Christianity

I wanted to start a prayer thread -
Any Christian can contribute!
Each day we shall have different intentions and so as we progress daily we can help most of the world through our prayers. (Non-Christians who visit please do not mock us as we do not want that within our thread, but you are always most welcome to join in with our prayers to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.)

As students, I would like our first intention to be for maximum deserved success in our exams, that the Lord may help us to obtain our optimum grades thus, helping us to build ourselves a sustainable future.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

This is a nice idea :h: Though I fear it will get invaded by sceptics and haters fairly soon :sigh: I hope I'm proved wrong though!

Praying for your intention

Brilliant if you think about it...

That is quite profound!

Praying for today's intention
Today's intention is for alcoholics and drug addicts, that they may realize the harm that they cause to their community, family and most importantly, themselves. We pray that they may repent and turn back to God, for his loving mercy is everlasting and great.

Today let us pray for those who have fallen under the evil temptation of homosexuality, pornography, masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, pedophilia, rape and all other sorts of adulterous and filthy sins. May we (I, am also a sinner) be able to be free from these harmful addictions which lead us to destroy our bodies and lives that God has given us, as St.Paul says 'Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit'.

To those, who disagree with being against homosexuality, as I was wondering too upon this subject for quite some time (based on the idea of equality), I saw a post on Instagram which said what I think answers this massive question and many others in one sentence. It changed my perspective on so many things, and it goes:

Jesus teaches - LOVE THE SINNER, HATE THE SIN. :u:

So we pray, Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen
Oooh just found this thread. Let peeps know in the TSR Christian society you're doing this (if you haven't already) to get more interest. Great idea. I truly needed this.
As it links in to today's prayer
Romans 12:1-2

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Thank you, and I will do so.
Let us pray to the good Lord today for the repentance and conversion of atheists and agnostics. May they be able to realize their self-denial and let others who try, change them for the good to come in their lives. May they turn from mockery and most importantly let us pray for the forgiveness of them from our Father as Jesus on the cross said - 'Forgive them, Father, for they do not know what they are doing'.

Let us pray for everyone, who do not know that the wrong things they do each day, hurt Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit, as we pray - Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen
Let us pray today for Pope Francis and all fellow leaders of Christ's church, that they may be able to gain wisdom from the Holy Spirit to enlighten others to stay strong in faith in times of troubles. Let us also pray today for priests and Bishops, that they may be able to lead the children of God on the right path every day. We must also pray for missionaries who devote their lives spreading the Good News about Jesus Christ thus ultimately fulfilling Jesus' reason for coming down here on earth, that the Good Lord will protect them and allow them to continue their mission.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Amen! So much love for Pope Francis
Today we shall pray for those who have conflicted families, for those who cause relationships between each other to fall apart. Let us pray for separated families, due to war, poverty or immigration. There are record high number of divorce cases going on as the world modernises. We pray that those who desire it, realize the effect it has on others especially the innocent children who desire nothing but to have a loving, caring family. We pray that they do not lose out on a right of theirs - a good childhood. We pray for those individuals that have caused hate within families, resulting in further separation from each other, that they may be able to reunite in the Lord's name before they lose a chance to do so forever.

So we pray, Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen
Let us pray today for the elderly, that they may get the love that they gave to their children back from them, that their children might try to realize that more than money, their parents desire the love and affection from their children. We pray that the children try to get some free time from their own 'busy' world and give their parents what they deserve.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen
